Solution

Automatic Water Quality Information System, which objective is continuous systematic and real-time monitoring of the quality levels of inland surface waters. It is a basic tool to support water system security and management for the monitoring, control, authorization and sanctioning of landfills. It consists of a series of stations located in the rivers of the basin equipped with different analyzers.

Smart parking system with application of the latest technologies available. This solution consists of the installation of small sensors on the pavement, which identify the presence or absence of a vehicle and send that information to a central system. This information is updated to allow drivers to check via web or app if there are free parking spaces. The system can also include user information panels, access barriers, video surveillance systems, etc.

EVPS – Emergency Vehicle Priority System

Traffic light regulation solution that allows priority movements to be established for certain vehicles (preferably emergency) under certain conditions. These actions can be managed remotely from a control center, or used in conjunction with other information systems, such as operating aid systems or connections to emergency control centers.

Control systems that include the identification, management and treatment of traffic violations, with the aim of improving road safety in cities. The portfolio of solutions is based on the following systems and technologies: Red light photo equipment, prohibited turn verification, speed controls (radar) on road point or section, bus lane encroachment, access to restricted areas, and license plate management by reading and analyzing them.

Variable Message Signs

Solution

Information system in the field of urban and intercity mobility based on electronic representation devices. The information in the variable message sign is represented by alphanumeric and/or graphic characters. They are integrated into SICE’s own management software applications: SIDERA and ADIMOT.

Travel times

Solution

Solution based on the detection of wireless devices using Bluetooth technology through the device developed by SICE, LIDA DBT01. This reads the MAC addresses from Bluetooth devices circulating around them, brings them together and transmits the processed information via communication network (wireless 3G interface or Ethernet) to the control center. The system makes it possible to calculate occupancy value, stop times, travel times, prognosis, etc.

Outcome

  • Improved urban and interurban mobility thanks to the possibility of users changing routes based on the information displayed in variable message panels or mobile applications, for example.

Conventional toll

Solution

Toll system in which the user pays for its use in the stations installed along the infrastructure. The solution includes toll stations (manual, automatic, electronic toll, etc.) developed with different technologies in terms of payment methods (cash, bank cards, devices, TAGs , etc.), as well as the operational and commercial back office and validation and centralized consolidation of toll transactions.

Free flow toll

Solution

Toll system that allows the management of electronic collection without interfering with the flow of traffic, using license plates or electronic devices (tags) to identify users. It is a comprehensive solution that offers everything from on-track equipment (technical gates, detection and classification equipment, antennas, cameras and auxiliary equipment) to operations management, customer service systems, account management and interfaces with external entities.

Traffic light regulation solution that makes it possible to establish movements and priority itineraries for public transport vehicles. The purpose of the system is to reduce the number of unwanted stops and achieve an increase in the commercial speed of the vehicles. Actions can be managed both locally and remotely from a control center. The system takes advantage of the information generated in real time by vehicles, sending the information through sensors installed in the infrastructure, wireless elements with GPS information, and even through the SAE itself.

Pedestrians

System for the detection of pedestrians crossing at traffic light intersections using artificial vision cameras.
The system ensures that pedestrians always have enough time in which the traffic light is green to cross safely at traffic light-controlled crossings. To do so, the system uses smart cameras that detect the path followed by the pedestrian and extend the time in which the traffic light is green until he or she has crossed safely. In addition, the traffic signal controller can be equipped with mechanisms to interact with citizens’ personal devices, such as smartphones, etc.

Smart crosswalk

Solution

Warning system at crosswalks and intersections. It uses V2V or I2V (vehicle-infrastructure-vehicle information exchange) technology, the purpose of which is to alert people of the proximity of cars, pedestrians or obstacles at a crosswalk or intersection. Available at both traffic light crossings in cities or dangerous intersections on the road.
